AdvancedTek Part of the Week – 12/28/15

December 28, 2015 News
This is a 3D printed “surrogate” part by a local transportation equipment manufacturer. It is a large complex assembly of a number of tubes with compound curves. It was used to initially test fit up in the engine compartment before the part was fabricated for production.
Subsequently, the customer found tremendous value in being able to identify any accessibility issues that might be created by the new component for maintenance procedures weeks before they received the first article part.
